§ HOW DO I CHANGE MY REGISTRATION PASSWORD?

Once you've identified yourself with your old password, do the following:

Usage: /msg NickServ SET PASSWORD new-password
Example: /msg NickServ SET PASSWORD A37rmN8q

§ HOW DO I KNOCK SOMEONE OFF FOR USING MY NICKNAME?

Usage: /msg NickServ SET KILL {ON | QUICK | IMMED | OFF}
Example: /msg NickServ SET KILL ON

Turns the automatic kill protection option for your nick on or off. With kill protection on, if another user tries to take your nick, they will be given one minute to change to another nick, after which they will be forcibly removed from IRC by NickServ.
If you select QUICK, the user will be given only 20 seconds to change nicks instead of the usual 60.

If you select IMMED, the user will be killed immediately without being warned first or given a chance to change their nick; please do not use this option unless necessary.

At this time, the server has disabled the actual KILLing of someone, rather we do a forced nickname change to an embarassing nickname. We don't want people not to leave the service, we just want to secure the nicknames.

§ HOW DO I GET NICKSERV TO MAKE ME IDENTIFY EVERY TIME I SIGN ON?

Usage: /msg NickServ SET SECURE {ON | OFF}
Example: /msg NickServ SET SECURE ON

Turns NickServ's security features on or off for your nick. With SECURE set, you must enter your password before you will be recognized as the owner of the nick, regardless of whether your address is on the access list.

§ I GOT BOOTED OFF BUT MY NICKNAME IS STILL SIGNED ON!

Usage: /msg NickServ GHOST nickname [password]
Example: /msg NickServ GHOST JohnDoe JohnDoe'sPassword

§ HOW DO I TIE IN AN URL WITH MY NICKNAME?

Usage: /msg NickServ SET URL url
Example: /msg NickServ Set URL http://www.therealms.net

Associates the given URL with your nickname. This URL will be displayed whenever someone requests information on your nick with the INFO command.

Have more questions? Don't hesitate to ask in the chat room, or check out the server's help site. You can also try typing in the following commands within the chat:

/msg helpserv help
or
/msg NICKSERV help

Or you can talk to the people in The Realms room. While in the chat room, type:
/join #therealms

The people in there are very helpful and can help you figure out what you're doing.

§ HOW DO I GROUP MY NICKNAMES?

Usage: /msg NickServ group target password

-- group - the nickname that will be the 'main' nick other names will be tied with, ie. Vigilant

-- password - the password for that specified nickname. Note: once grouped, all nicknames will have the same password. ie. thisismypass

Example: /msg NickServ group Vigilant thisismypass

This way, you don't have to identify every time you switch from one registered nickname to another. Also, the bots will recognize you and give you correct channel privileges no matter the nickname you're using.
