Stuff report that a letter written 46 years ago by JRR Tolkien to Miss Grant in New Zealand has been sold at auction in Wellington for nearly $7000. In his letter Tolkien wrote that, “he thought The Lord of the Rings was too expensive a book to attract a host of buyers”.
