I guess so. Seems to me that this is when Legolas is comforting Aragorn that he has not failed.

I don’t understand really – Aragorn was pretty sure about himself all that time they had to take the Paths
awww. someone needs a hug. 😉
I never understood the dangers with the Paths of the Dead…
Me neither… Only one in the two movies have I seen Aragorn have something resembling a smile.. : (

Here’s a thesis: Aragorn probably summons the dead, but they don’t come at first and he sinks to the ground,
thinking he’s failed.
I think Gamling might be right. Viggo Mortensen talks about a great deal of additional POTD film never used.
That actully I think is after the battle at the Plennor Fields, and finding out that Theoden died.
Yeah, and it’s too light to be in the PotD, and there’s grass and stuff
I would go with that theory, wasn’t in my copy of ROTK, maybe in the EE

This is in the EE! Aragorn sees the black ships and thinks he has failed. he drops to his knees and cries!

we find out that this is after theyve came out of the Paths and they see the black ships coming up the anduin.
im glad its in the EE. its a nice little scene whichexplains how they get on the ships… yey!
