I love how David Wenham can convey so much with his eyes — he knows he’ll never be able to please Denethor.

David Wenham did such a good job in this part…you can just see in those gorgeous eyes and the expressions on
that gorgeous face that Faramir is processing what Denethor has said and is then accepting it…regardless of
how much it hurts him to do so. I just want to give him a big hug…
I wonder if this will be in the EE DVD maybe Gandalf, Pippin and Doofy-thor will have more interaction?

The thing I loved, is that just before he turns to leave (after he bowed to Denethor) he hesitates for a
slight second, as if hoping against hope that maybe Denethor will take back what he said. And then after
Denethor says “depends on the manner in which you return”, Faramir walks faster out of the hall.
I’m so glad we didn’t see his face when he walked out of that hall. That would have been just too much for me.
*Agree with Astin* David played his part perfectly, not at all over-the-top. He totally made up for…
…my disappointment that the men of Gondor didn’t have black hair and grey eyes! I LOVE that combination!
Actually that is when well, i cant tell…. it is going to be an extended scene in ROTK.
I feel so bad for Faramir.
The problem is…how many guys have black hair and grey eyes? Eh…but contacts work…I wanted Faramir to
have black hair! Why didn’t they dye his hair or something?

Actually he’s probably remembering his brother at this point, wishing he were there to defend him.
I’m pretty sure this is from the EE when he is talking to Pippin. Maybe Pip tells him how Boromir really died
