Personality: She is peaceful, kind and warm-hearted. In her homeland and amongst friends and family, she is completely at ease. She often makes friends with the elves who come to the harbor to take the boats. Her gentle, easy-going attitude quickly vanishes when she is angered, only then is she as tough and merciless as the sea, with suprising skill as a warrior.
Appearance: Looks: She is tall and slender with fair, tan skin (from spending long days along the shore). Her long, blonde, straight hair falls to the small of her back and is rarely tied back or up. Her eyes are deep blue that change shade reflecting her moods, anger- dark and cold, happy- bright and clear. She always smells of salt water.
Wears- All her clothing are colors of the sea. Her gowns for everyday are light, flowing, gauzy material (because she tends to swim in them) and are most often white, but she also has various shades of blues and sea greens. She rarely wears shoes when in her homeland. For travel, or formal dress, her gowns are silk or velvet in the same sea colors with gold or silver details. She has a deep blue cloak with green-blue embroidery around the edges. The only jewlrey she always wears is a necklace with a dark blue-green stone set on a silver mount (a gift from her mother at the time of her birth to always keep her connected with the sea.)
History:
She was born in the city near the harbors. Her love for the sea comes from her father who oversees all activity of the ships bearing elves to the Undying Lands and sometimes helps sail the ships. Her mother was born in Lorien and used to be a hand-maid and singer for the Lady Galadriel before she married. Her mother’s family still live in Lorien, and Maethoriel makes trips to visit them. She spends most of her days along the shore with her sea creature friends. Sometimes she helps her father or makes friends with the elves making to depart, telling them stories she has heard from her love, Dordaeron, who pilots a ship, about the Undying Lands. She is also a singer, like her mother, and sings songs of the sea to elves, animals, and herself. Her voice can enchant, and she has often been compared to the sea sirens rumored to bewitch saliors with song. She also acts as a guide from time to time, helping lead and protect the elves who are traveling to the Grey Havens from their home realms, thus she has been to all elvish realms in Middle-Earth. She met Dordhaeron through her father, and the two fell in love. They spend as much of their time together as possible when they are both not traveling. Dordhaeron has even traveled with her a few times to Rivendell and Mirkwood.
